How nature boosts endorphins - your happy hormones!
I've wondered why, after walking in nature and getting cold, wet and sometimes even hungry, I always look back and think "That was such a great tramp!" 🌧 It seems at odds with how we usually judge what constitutes a 'good time'. So I wasn't surprised to learn that being in nature increases our production of endorphins which are our feel-good hormones 🌿 Nature can even help lower your risk of depression. Researchers have found that 90 minutes spent in nature decreases activity the brain associated with depression. So in my Mother's words, when I was growing up, 'You kids get outside and play! 🌱
